The Crafts Council, in partnership with CCE, has launched the Creative Catalyst programme which aims to help makers diversify their practice by providing them with the tools and confidence to engage as effective creative stimulants within primary and secondary education.
The programme is aimed at makers who have established a contemporary craft practice, but are interested in sharing their creativity, practical skills and material knowledge with teachers and pupils.
Running from October 2010 – January 2011 it will comprise of a short residential course, run by experienced and specialist trainers; leading to designing and running a practical project in a primary or secondary school, with support from mentors.
